February is all about love and there is nothing I love more than desserts! (Sorry, kids, you’re a close second.) So I thought I’d pay a visit to Edibles Incredible — the cute little confection shop in Reston Town Center — to see what they were up to for Valentine’s Day.
Edibles Incredible is the love-child of Robyn Hanna and Alan Furman. On their first date, the couple bonded over his homemade fudge and her delicious English toffee. From then on, their entrepreneurial spirit took over and a small dessert company was born. After a pop-up in Fair Oaks Mall, Edibles Incredible moved into Reston Town Center where they expanded their operation to include cakes and chocolates. The couple seriously could not be any cuter or their story any sweeter!

This month, Alan and Robyn have a number of amazing offerings for Valentine’s Day. Walking into their shop is an indulgent experience. The colors and sweet aromas of cookies, cakes, cupcakes and cake-pops delight the senses. Trust me, your New Year’s resolution of losing ten pounds will fly out the window. I dare you to not sample something!

Edibles Incredible also has a wide selection of truffles and chocolates that you can mix and match for a perfect gift. They are also experimenting with gluten-free recipes and have perfected this chocolate mint cookie. Expect more in this department soon!

In addition to the Valentine sweets and goodies in the shop, Edibles Incredible also makes award-winning birthday and wedding cakes. Alan’s eyes twinkle when he tells me that they are the most award-winning bakery in Virginia. In 2015, alone, they won eight awards from publications such as Northern Virginia Magazine and the Knot for Best Wedding Vendor and Best Wedding Cake, among others. Their staff works with about 80 different venues in DC, Maryland and Virginia and creates about 1800 custom cakes plus about 400 wedding cakes a year.
The award of which they are most proud is 1st place for “Best Dessert Menu” in 2015 from Virginia Living Magazine. 2nd place was awarded to one of their favorite special occasion restaurants, L’Auberge Chez Francois in Great Falls.
